Analysing and Interpreting Data Measures of Central Tendency This means average and there are three types of average. Mode - the most common or most frequent value. If there are two modes we say that the distribution is bimodal, if there are more than 2 modes then it is multimodal. It is easy to find the mode from a frequency distribution as it is the one with the highest frequency, and in a bar chart it is the highest bar. If the information is given in a list then you need to count to find the one that occurs most often. Examples: 1. Find the mode of 11,12,12,12,13,13,13,13,13,14,14,14,15,15.
