How does the height of a ball drop affect the bounce?

... How does the height of a ball drop affect the bounce? For my year 10 coursework we have been asked to investigate what factors influence the bouncing of a ball and the different affects it will have on the height of the bounce. I have listed the possible variables that could be investigated. However I am only going to investigate 1 of the following. * Size of ball: This would affect the amount of air resistance on the ball and how much resistance there is against the ball. * Surface of Table: This would affect how the ball bounces as some surfaces will absorb the energy of the descending ball better than other surfaces. * Height of Drop: This will affect how much velocity the ball has on the impact of the surface below. This would change the speed of the ball upon decent and therefore seeing it as another factor Velocity = Distance
