Have a little read: ... Science Coursework Aim: I am trying to determine how the length of a wire affects its resistance. Prediction: I think that my results will show a pattern showing if the wire is long, the current will be low because more particles will be in the way of the electrons. I predict that if the wire is shorter there would be a lower resistance because fewer atoms are in the way of the electrons. I also think the longer the wire is the less the current because its encountering more atoms in the wire. Preliminary Trial In my preliminary trial I found out that the more volts you have added the copper wire will melt.
