Resistance Investigation Aim: To find out how the length of the wire affects the amount of resistance being created. Prediction: I think that the length affects the resistance that will be produced. So a shorter wire means less resistance, whilst a longer wire means more resistance. Hypothesis: I think this because I know that that the longer the wire, the longer the distance that the electrons will have to travel, therefore increasing the amount of atoms (in the metal atoms of the wire) they collide with on the way, so the time is increased. But in the shorter wire, the electrons have to get past a lesser number of atoms (in the metal atoms of the wire), therefore the journey is smaller/shorter.
