Finding the best resistance. Introduction. My aim is to find a wire with the least resistance to put into a torch. I will do two different tests by changing the thickness and the length of the wire; I will then connect the wire into a circuit with an ammeter and voltmeter to measure the resistance. Ohm's law. V= Voltage (I x R). I= Current (V/R). R= Resistance (V/I). Voltage can be thought as been as the pressure that gives electrons their driving force through the circuit. It is measured in volts and you work it out by multiplying the current by the resistance. Resistance is how easy the current can flow around the circuit, the less wire the lower the resistance, the thicker the wire the lower the resistance.
