PHYSICS COURSEWORK Factors that effect the rate of evaporation of a liquid Introduction : There are many factors that will affect the rate of evaporation in a liquid, these include the surface area, humidity, temperature and breeze. Aim : Our aim in this experiment is to find out the effect of breeze on the rate of evaporation using different speeds of breeze. We will aim to monitor closely and then accurately record our results. Prediction : I predict that the more breeze in operation the quicker the evaporation in meths will be. I think this because the breeze will cool the meths, causing the meths to lose its energy. Reason : My reasons for the prediction are, in order for a liquid to evaporate, bonds must be broken.
