Factors Affecting Resistance PLANNING Aim This is an experiment to find out how different factors affect the resistance of a wire Prediction These variables will be relevant to this investigation * Length * Thickness * Temperature * Voltage * Resistance * Material I will be varying the length of the wire. I believe that the longer the section of wire used the greater the resistance should be. I believe that it will be possible to conclude that: *Wire length is directly proportional to the resistance of that wire* You must predict what you are likely to find out during this experiment. You should make your prediction quantitative if possible. This means it is not good enough to say if X goes up so will Y.
