Have a little read: ... Factors That Affect the Resistance of a Wire Planning; The aim of this experiment is to find out what factors affect the resistance of the wire. The variable I am going to change is the length of the wire. To keep the test fair I will keep; * The wire type * The wire thickness * The number of cells the same as these will be the controls. I am going to record and analyse these results. The circuit I am gong to use looks like this, In this experiment I am investigating resistance. Resistance is where electrons in a circuit have to go through a wire or bulb etc that is harder to get through than the wire. Therefore the electrons lose their energy which gives off heat and energy.
