Experimenting with Magnets, Magnetic Forces and Currents Research Question: Is the a relationship between the force exerted on a wire by a magnet when there is a current flowing through the wire. Hence does and increase in current and a change in wire length influence the force on the wire. Hypothesis: When the current increases the force on the wire is likely to be greater because there is greater electron movement. The length of the wire will influence the force on the wire because the wire will offer some level of resistance to the flow of electrons.
