BIOLOGY COURSEWORK TITLE: Experiment to investigate the energy given of in food stuffs. AIM: Our aim in this experiment is to see what type of peanut, out of plain, roasted and dry roasted gives the most energy. We will achieve this by burning the peanuts and the one that heats the water in the test tube above the burning peanut to the highest temperature will contain the most energy. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: * Peanuts contain different many things which include carbohydrates, fats, protein and fibre and in this section I will write about these things and why they are important to our experiment. * Fats are made up only three different types of atom which are carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
