Physics Coursework: Current in a Wire Current: Current is a flow of electrons around a circuit. Current will only flow through a component if there is voltage across the component. Resistance: This is the movement of electrons through a circuit, which are resisted by the atoms, particles and compounds in a wire, which the current passes through. Wire with small resistance Wire with Large Resistance Variables In this experiment there are number of different variables in this experiment. * Length of wire * Width of Wire * Amount of power going through the wire * Different types of wire For this experiment I have decided to change the length of the wire and measure the amount of current going through the wire to get my results and table.
