Bio fuels: Bio fuels are gained from processing living or once living matter and burning the products. For example sugar cane can be grown and fermented with the purpose of making ethanol which can be used in the place of other dirtier fuels. There is no extensive method as to this apart from collecting the product and burning it. The thing that makes this so good is that the plant takes in carbon as carbon dioxide throughout it's life and by burning the product, ethanol for example, only that finite quantity is put back into the atmosphere. Chemical fuel cells: "If you want to be technical about it, a fuel cell is an electrochemical energy conversion device." What the cell simply does is handle the electrical energy produced as a product of a chemical reaction.
