Practices and Training No one in sport and football is considered perfect, that's why the elite performers train and practise day in day out to try to improve further. In this section I will use the research in section three to produce a training programme for Andy Marshall to use in order to improve his weaknesses and maintain his strengths. In goalkeeping, handling and catching are arguably the most important attributes. Marshall's catching and handling aren't too great, therefore I will design a training programme which will hopefully improve Marshall as a goalkeeper. The reasons I have chosen the attributes I have, rather than something such as communication which has a lower mark, is because I feel catching and handling are more important to be good at as goalies are the only player on the team that can use their hands and you can build a longer training programme around catching...
