English Coursework-Personal Piece My Lost Summer At the end of a hard battling football season full of goals, gaffs, trophies and blind referees I had decided to change the team in which I was to play Sunday League football for in the Ellesmere Port Junior Football League. I played for the team that won the league and both cup competitions that year, but I decided to leave because I was no longer enjoying my football there and the manager thought he was preparing England for the World Cup! I joined a team called Newton Athletic which was my local team and I knew would still be challenging for silverware come the end of the season. Despite the excitement and anticipation of playing for a new club within the first twenty minutes of my debut game I was booted six foot in the air, accompanied by a loud cracking sound...
