Basketball training program. Introduction. The sport I have chosen to do a training program on is basketball; I have chosen this because I have competed at county and national level for my school. I am also a member of Southampton Trail blazers basketball club. The position I play is point guard. For this you need good handling skills, speed, strength, passing, inside and outside shooting. Also to be a good basketball player in general you need to have all the other aspects of the game as well. I think my strengths are defence, passing and inside shooting. My weaknesses are outside shooting, speed, and strength. As I feel that outside shooting is a weakness in my game and is important in my position this will be one of the main objectives in my program.
