Is cardiac recovery affected by exercise habits? To answer the given question is the purpose of this lab. To find out the answer, students were made to exercise for a given period of time, and measure their heart rate immediately after the exercise and for ten minutes after in order to measure the resting rate. I believe that cardiac recovery is affected by exercise habits. The more someone spends time exercising the less time it takes for them to recover. As the heart is a muscle, it becomes stronger with exercise like any other muscle, and thus it can pump blood to increasingly oxygen-demanding muscles. We divided the class in to three groups of exercise people. Those that do a lot of sports, those that do a little and those that are moderate.
