Original Writing Coursework Matt felt the grip loosen from his throat, and he fell to the hard floor with a resounding thud. He could smell something distinct, overpowering, pungent, yet nothing he could quite place. He started choking on the gag, and wrinkled his nose. A shape, dark and humanoid, dropped onto the floor. It stretched, then crouched quickly, and made its way into the shadows. Matt felt his hands being lifted up behind his back, and he started to panic. Slowly, so agonizingly slowly, the rope, which had previously been holding his hands together, was untied. The same hands, he correctly presumed, lifted his blindfold, and then all Matt could see was the constricting darkness. After a while, a light shone around and he could see a crowd of pipes and puddles in front of him. The shape stood up and, during the motion, took the man's hands and started to untie...
