My tripod heavy in my hand as I place its three legs on the ground. My model appears crisp from the dull haze in my viewfinder as I adjust the focus of my lens. A slight change to the aperture and shutter settings puts the light meter at perfect levels. My car engine blares behind me, the headlights shining bright onto my model sitting on a post just under a street light. Cars continuously drive by, witnessing the unusual setting for a midnight photo shoot. I position myself below the model and tilt my tripod to create distorted body proportions. My project, working with different shutter speeds, has my mind tangled. Lowering the shutter from 1/500 to 1/125 has no real meaning to me since this is my first real photo shoot. I take a few photos, thirty still left on the roll. I continue to lower the shutter levels and aperture...
