Analyse how the structural and linguistic devices are used to target specific audiences in printed media texts These three texts target three very different audiences. We can tell this from the language, presentation and content within the text. The 'Club 18-30' advert obviously targets the younger generation, whereas the 'Super family' brochure specifically targets families. The final text, 'Forever Young,' is targeting the older generation. The target audience can be identified by the structural and linguistic construction of the text. In 'Club 18-30,' it is easy to identify the target audience just from the first paragraph. For example: "tons of bars and some of the best clubs in the Med, enough to keep even the most hardened party animal happy..." The slang and chatty language later on in the text also clarifies the informal tone used. E.g.: "fair bit of wedge," "nuff said," "fab."
