Compare the way a similar product is 'sold' to a target audience in display advertisements. Analyse how the design and context of the advertisement is influenced by it's target audience Women's perfumes and men's aftershaves are all advertised extensively to appeal to their target audience whether it be male, female or both. In the course of this essay I will be analysing the design and content of three of these fragrance adverts: 'Ultraviolet Man' by Paco Rabanne, 'Ralph' by Ralph Lauren and 'Play' by Exclamation and discussing how effectively they appeal to their target audiences. Firstly, the Paco Rabanne 'Ultraviolet Man' advert. The main image of this advert features a man on a dark background posed forwards with his hand outstretched as if to grab the mysterious, futuristic floating 'Ultraviolet Man' bottle that is before him. This man has obviously been chosen for the job from a modelling agency...
