Regulations in Britain were first established in 1945 as a way of placing guidelines upon media. Regulations of media in Britain are very important as there are so many inapropriate subjects shown in media, for instance the press has guidelines about invading someone's privacy but still to this day we have the press exposing celebrity lifestyles and private lives. Regulations are a way of stopping bad press being displayed incorrectly. ITC (independent television commmision): The ITC ceases to exist from 18 December 2003 and its duties have been assumed by Ofcom, the office of communications.
