Core Studies Mr Ferguson Media Influences Media is a form of mass communication to the public. It is used in many forms, such as television, magazines, radio, newspapers, film, internet, etc. With media being portrayed to so many people, it is bound to have influence on certain things. With media being so wide spread, it is hard for the public not to form views based on what they have heard/read. Even from a young age, we are influenced by the adverts. When small children see other children of their age playing with a particular toy or game on television, they want to mirror themselves on that child and therefore, are inclined to ask their parents to buy it for them.
