Sian Rafferty Pythagorean Triples. For my piece of coursework I have been asked to investigate a series of Pythagorean triples. I was given a sheet entitled Pythagorean Triples with various equations shown. Some of them were not finished. I was shown different methods to work it out. A pythagorean triangle is when the three sides are whole numbered. On the sheet I was given I was told to investigate further with the equations. I started by looking at family number one. The first family is 32+42=52 and the second family is 52+122= without an answer.
