(Introduction can be found on the last page due to technical difficulties) Four Joints (cube) 12(x - 1) (Insert pic here) All 4 joints are located on the edges of the cube- (Insert pic here) The amount of joints on a single edge is equal to 'x + 1', but 4 joints do not occupy the edges entirely, as there is a single 3 joint at each vertex. These 3 joints must be taken into account. There are 2 on every edge and the above formula must be altered accordingly- (Insert pic here) 4J per edge = x + 1 - 2 = x - 1 This formula must now be multiplied by the total number of edges in a cube, ie 12. Therefore - Total 4J = 12(x - 1) Four Joints (cuboid) (Insert pic here) 4(x - 1 ) + 4(y - 1) + 4(z - 1) Again, all four joints are located on the edges, but unlike cubes, the amount...
