Maths GCSE Coursework The Fencing Problem The Task The task that has been set is as follows. A farmer has only 1000m of fencing and wants to fence off a piece of his land. It could be any shape, but she wants it to be most efficient, therefore it has to cover the shape with the largest area. My Aims I will aim to find the maximum area, going through a range of different sided shapes, until I find the correct one. I shall also aim to find a formula from my work, and put it into practice to make it easier for me to work out the final answer to the problem.
