KEVIN WALKER MATHS COURSE WORK 2 Investigation in to constructing a fence with a perimeter of 800m that can be any shape provided the area inside the enclosure is optimised. Proposed method of approach: i. Consider regular and irregular quadrilaterals and polygons e.g. rectangles, squares, rhombus triangles, pentagon, hexagon etc with sides that total 800m and who's angles vary accordingly. ii. Tabulate the variances in the internal area of the shapes considered in i. above and provide graphical representation of the results. iii. Consider circular and elliptical shapes with a perimeter of 800m with variances in the length of their x & y axis. iv. Tabulate the variances in the internal area of the shapes considered in iii. above and provide graphical representation of the results. v. From the data contained in the tabulated information in i. & iii. above look for evidence by data comparison that helps conclude what shapes with a perimeter of 800m...
