GCSE English Coursework Assignment C; Argue, Persuade, Instruct Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for taking the time to listen to my speech. I would like to take this opportunity to discuss the present state of the area I live in. Teenagers walk around the streets at night, drinking and some even taking drugs. Day in and day out they wander about with no supervision, instigating danger for themselves and others. Boredom turns into destruction and the house walls are covered in graffiti, the ground with smashed bottles, cigarette butts and even needles. Is this what you want for this generation? As I am sure you will agree, this is not the kind of environment we want them to develop in, but because of the lack of facilities it is what they are being forced to do. A Youth Centre is what we need, it is a simple solution...
