... Round & Round We Go The Investigation Introduction The problem I am investigating is called Round & Round We Go. The problem basically is to see what happens to the outcome each time you change A. Firstly I will start using a calculator. I have no idea what will happen. I will have 10 as my starting number (A) 10+1=5.5 2 Now 5.5 is my starting number 5.5+1=3.25 2 The outcome keeps getting smaller and smaller. I will see how far it goes. 3.25+1=2.125 2 2.125+1=1.5625 2 1.5625+1=1.28125 2 1.28125+1=1.140625 2 1.140625+1=1.0703125 2 1.0703125+1=1.03515625 2 The outcome is slowing down, as it gets closer to 1. Its going to take a lot of time to do it all with calculator and would be much easier and more efficient to use a spreadsheet. I will also be able to get more accurate graphs with the software.
