I have successfully come to the end of my coursework and from carrying out many tasks & calculations, have reached a conclusion; which will be explained below. Scatter Graphs For Gulliver's theory to be valid my scatter graphs should display a positive relationship between the two sets of data (thumb/wrist, wrist/neck and neck/waist). The equation of the line should agree with what Gulliver said in the sense that the gradient should be approximately 2, since that is the rate of change in Gulliver's theory: 'Twice round the thumb is once round the wrist, twice round the wrist is once round the neck, twice round the neck is once round the wrist'-(what Gulliver proposed). This has come about - to some extent. For the girls, my scatter graphs showed a positive relationship with the rate of change (or the gradient) being somewhere around 2.
