GCSE MATHEMATICS HANDLING DATA COURSEWORK In this project, my objective is to use my knowledge of handling data and figures, to prove or disprove certain features of a hypothesis and which aspects have the greatest effects. I was given a data booklet of the performance tables for 6 Local Education Authorities in London. Each authority has 3 different tables; one states the GCSE results, another states the KS3 results, and another, states information about authorised and unauthorised absences. Around 4 hypotheses was provided for us to choose from, and after some thought I decided to choose the following hypothesis: - ABSENCE RATES HAVE A BIGGER EFFECT ON GCSE RESULTS IN INNER LONDON THAN IN OUTER LONDON.
