17/04/2003 Data Handling Coursework Aim I am going to collect and express evidence to support (or not support) the hypothesis that: What I.Q. a person gets, makes a difference to English Ks3 scores and Maths Ks3 scores in girls and boys in year 10. Collecting Data For me to prove or disprove this hypothesis I will need to collect a sample of I.Q. scores, English ks3 scores and maths ks3 scores for boys and girls. For my project to be successful I will need to collect about 30 samples for boys and 30 for girls. This will give a clearer picture than if I used 10 from each because I might have picked the best or the worst results and I wouldn't have a proper answer to my hypothesis.
