Introduction: clay is a product that was invented by the Egyptians and then made in to bricks and used to build their houses and their buildings. Clay is an easy to make substance and can be made by almost anyone. In this experiment I will be demonstrating how to make this very useful product. Aim: to use muddy sand and water to process clay. Objective: by the end of this experiment I will be able to make clay, using muddy sand and water. I will be able to follow standard operating procedures of making clay. I will be able to identify the risks of environmental and health and safety issues of making clay. Risk assessment: make sure that you wear gloves when you're picking out the unwanted materials out of the sand as you might get some under your nails and then unintentionally rub it in your eyes or ingest it.
