"The female of the species is more deadly than the male." How far do you agree that this is correct in relation to, "The Human Element"? Thelma is ugly and she knows it. She has a sort of dull khaki coloured eyes, and a "suet pudding face". The thing that she wants more than anything is to get married but she could not possibly. She is so unpleasant to look at she will never walk down the aisle, and the fact that she is terribly over weight does not help, right? Wrong! She may be as un-attractive as an ogre and as wide as a whale, but she does not have the brains of a dickybird.
