Seb Jenner Maths Coursework Handling Data The aim of this investigation is to compare and analyse data, to find averages and patterns. I will be comparing the height and weight of boys, girls and the difference between the two. The data that I am analysing is a secondary source (collected by someone else) called Jordan Hill county school. There are 1183 fictitious pupils in Jordan Hill, 604 boys and 579 girls. For each pupil there is a series of information e.g. age, year, height, weight, hair colour, IQM, etc. I will select a sample of 60 pupils (30 boys and 30 girls), selecting this sample myself will make it biased; this is because I may have a dislike for a number (Each number corresponds to a pupil). For example I may not wish to choose the number 1 because to me it seems too obvious, however every number should have an equal chance...
