Investigating the Speed of a Marble Rolling Down a Variable Ramp Introduction In this experiment I am going to investigate the speed of a marble rolling down a variable ramp. The input variable is the height of the ramp, so I will keep everything the same except this factor. I predict that the steeper the ramp the faster the marble will travel. I will measure the time the marble takes to travel the full length of the one metre ramp three times then from these measurements I will take an average. I will then work out the speed in metres per second (m/s), by dividing the distance by the time.
