Physics Investigation To investigate the bounce height of a squash ball AIM- To investigate how the height from which a squash ball is dropped will affect its bounce height. EQUIPMENT- * 100cm ruler * Squash ball * Bench surface * Clamp DIAGRAM- METHOD- First we will set up the apparatus as in the diagram; a ruler attached to a clamp, with the ruler touching the surface of the bench. Then we will get the squash ball and drop it from 11 different heights, 10cm, 20cm, 40cm, 60cm, 80cm, 100cm, 120cm, 140cm, 160cm, 180cm and 200cm onto the bench surface. Every time we will record the height at which the ball bounces. The ball will be dropped from each height 3 times to gain an average height and also to make sure that the readings are correct. VARIABLES- The squash ball will be dropped onto the same surface each time so the bounce height will not vary according to the surface. The temperature...
