GCSE MATHS: STATISTICS PROJECT Aim of project: In this project I am to make 4 hypotheses about Mayfield High School, then I will analyse the data using suitable diagrams and explaining them to show whether or not my hypotheses were correct. Hypothesis 1: I will compare the height of males against that of females, to do this I will investigate males and females in years 10 and 11. Also I will compare the males heights to that of the females in both year groups. To do this I will use box and whisker plots of both the males and females and put them on the same axis as this will allow me to compare them more easily. I will expect the boys upper quartile and median to be higher than that of the females, but the girls lower quartile to be lower than that of the males.
