GCSE MATHS PROJECT: Data Handling Topic: I am going to investigate the ratio between height and weight between boys and girls in years 9, 10 and 11. Hypothesis: I believe that on average, if a boy or girl is tall, he or she will weigh more than someone who is shorter. In general boys will be heavier than girls also. Why I have chosen this: I have chosen to use years 9, 10 and 11 because this is when boys and girls are about the same stage in their physical development. I have also chosen 3 years to get a good spread of the results. It would be unfair to use years 7 and 8 because the girls would have developed more than boys.
