GCSE Mathematics: Handling Data Practice Project Introduction I am going to investigate the height and weight of males and females from the whole of Mayfield School, which will show a pattern, this pattern being that as a pupils height increases so does their weight. I have collected the height, weight and gender of pupils from secondary data that was provided from the Internet. I have been restricted to these resources due to the time restrictions. The data is reliable because it was obtained from an actual school but has been given the fictitious name of Mayfield High School. I am going to use the sample size of 30 boys and 30 girls out of the whole School (1183 Students) Male Female Pupil No. Height (m) Weight (Kg) Height (m) Weight (Kg) 1 1.6 50 1.64 55 2 1.55 50 1.78 52 3 1.8 60 1.52 52 4 1.6 36 1.73 51 5 1.68 59 1.63 44 6 1.75 63 1.59 41 7 1.54 44 1.6 41 8 1.81 56 1.75 60 9 1.63 40 1.72 50 10 1.81 56 1.42 41 11 1.86 56 1.62 40 12 1.75 68 1.41 30 13 1.6 38 1.62 48 14 1.35 51 1.52 45 15 1.62 51 1.75 60 16 1.6 60 1.56 50 17 1.55 50 1.8 62 18 1.8 72 1.6 51 19 1.65 45 1.49 37 20 1.62 48 1.56 53 21 1.72 58 1.76 52 22 1.47 50 1.68 48 23 1.9 70 1.62 49 24 1.8 49 1.37 30 25 1.9 40 1.03 45 26 1.8 48 1.66 54 27 1.45 40 1.53 52 28 1.56 35 1.65 49 29 1.65 64 1.61 47 30 1.57 49 1.55 66 I know this data is a fair sample because it was chosen by Random using the Rnd button on the calculator. I will now make a more useful representation...
