MAYFIELD STATISTICS PROJECT COURSEWORK PLAN AIM: I am doing a statistical investigation on Mayfield School Database. I am looking at Yr 7's and Yr 11's in Mayfield School and comparing their Age and Gender with their Height. HYPOTHESES Height I predict Year 7's are shorter than Year 11's I predict Year 7 boys are shorter than Year 7 girls. I predict Year 11 boys are taller than Year 11 girls. I predict Year 11 boys are taller than Year 7 boys. I predict Year 7 girls are shorter than Year 11 girls. SAMPLE I will collect exactly 60 students, 30 students of Year 7 and 30 students of Year 11. Also, to make it a fair sample I will randomly select 15 boys and 15 girls from each Year. I am using 15 boys and 15 girls because one of my variables is gender.
