All of the year 10 drama students in my school visited the Cartwright Hall in Bradford on the 14th March 2003. We went there to look at an exhibition of still paintings for ideas for our next coursework piece.

All of the year 10 drama students in my school visited the Cartwright Hall in Bradford on the 14th March 2003. We went there to look at an exhibition of still paintings for ideas for our next coursework piece. While I was there I saw a number of paintings that I thought were good stimulus for my group to work with. After a discussion with my group we narrowed the paintings down to two and we had an idea for it as well. The paintings were called 'The Emigrant Ship' by C.J Stainland and 'The boy and the Man' by George Clausen. We started working out a piece, but when we came to act the piece the characters were really hard to do. This was because of the difference in timer periods. Also the piece lacked energy.
