Daryl Labiana Ms. Sullivan English 93/94 March 23, 2006 Safety Hits Home In the March 13, 2006 issue of People magazine, Ford Motor Company placed an advertisement appealing to a sensitive topic very dear to our hearts - kids. The advertisement strikes an emotional chord by imaging a cute, innocent, defenseless, young child; by displaying a catchy tag line, and finally, by personalizing the ad with a portrait of the chairman of Ford Motor Company. Ford Motors create an effective ad, which displays the preciousness of the life of a child made possible by Ford's innovation in manufacturing safe vehicles. The visual effectiveness of a happy child with his mother plays on the reader's emotions creating a warm and fuzzy feeling, a feeling of contentment and security.
