MATHS COURSEWORK INTRODUCTION This piece of coursework is going to first look at the length of words and then goes onto look at words in sentences. I am going to do this by looking at 2 newspapers, 1 will be a tabloid and the other will be a broadsheet. I will buy both these papers on the same day and use similar articles. HYPOTHESIS 1 For my 1st hypothesis I will be looking at letters per word. I would expect that words in the broadsheet will be bigger than the tabloid as they give a greater detail of events using more complicated vocabulary. I believe this to be the case because the broadsheet newspaper is aiming at a more well-informed reader than a tabloid. I am going to do this by creating tally chart to collect my data.
