Synopsis This report is for studying the relative accuracy and application of different measuring the devices for linear measurement . the devices used in this report are a steel ruler , vernier and micrometer from the results it was discovered that if 20mm & 0.1mm to zero the sigma comparator for part A and part B respectively the vernier give the length of 20mm for part A and the length of 0.1mm for part B and for diameters it measures 16.02mm and 15.02mm this indicated that the vernier is more accurate in measuring the length on this experiment,and the micrometer is accurate for measuring the diameter by the accuracy from the results on tables A & B Introduction The object or the significant and the purpose of this report is to give the laboratory findings on the relative accuracy and application of different measuring devices for linear measurement . the problem is that...
