Newspaper Comparisons - GCSE Coursework Hypothesis: Tabloid newspapers are written at a lower language level than broadsheet newspapers In order to prove or disprove this hypothesis, I will take sample articles from a leading tabloid newspaper - The Sun - and a leading broadsheet newspaper - The Times. I will find three articles from each newspaper with a common subject to an article in the other. Each of the three subjects will be completely different to the other two, and the articles will be written by different journalists in order to sample any differences in style that there might be, for example, between sport and political reports. It is possible that articles from different newspapers will have the same basic topic but will focus on different aspects of the topic, so in order to ensure fairness in the comparison of any two articles, only articles with an identical or very similar headline...
