For my mathematics coursework I have chosen to study T-shapes. T-shapes consist of a group of squares, shaped like a T, positioned on a numbered grid. An example of such a T-shape is below. The area outlined in red is the T. It is three squares horizontally and three squares vertically, making it a 3x3 T. The grid is a vertical eight squares and an horizontal eight squares on the grid, making it an 8 x 8 square. The sum of all the grid squares across which this T is plotted is the T total. The first square of the T, outlined in green, is called T for purposes of calculating the T total. In this T-shape, T = 1. Calculation of the T-total: 1+2+3+10+18 = 34 T+T+1+T+2+T+9+T+17 = 5T + 29 This shows us that the formula for a 3x3 T plotted from T1 on an 8x8 grid is 5T + 29. I predict...
