The stair is found by adding all the numbers inside the stair. In order to assist my investigation, I am going to use the notation to designate the stair. The stair shown is therefore S (1) (S1)=1+2+3+11+12+21=50 (Sn=sum of all the numbers in the stair. . n= the bottom left number in the stair. I am now going to look at different stair positions on the grid. I will do five different positions in order so I have consistency to find a pattern. 21 11 12 1 2 3 The stair shown is S (1) S (1)= 1+2+3+11+12+21=50 The stair shown is S (2) S (2)= 2+3+4+12+13+22=56 22 12 13 2 3 4 23 13 14 3 4 5 The stair show is S (3) S (3) = 3+4+5+13+14+23=62 24 14 15 4 5 6 The stair shown is S (4) S (4) =4+5+6+14+15+24=68 25 15 16 5 6 7 The stair shown is S (5) S (5)= 5+6+7+15+16+25=74 I have noticed that I cannot find the two right hand columns or the bottom two rows. I have looked at five different positions on the...
