Consumer Protection Act 1987 This act states that the sellers are liable to any affect caused to the consumers by their product. So Tesco have to be cautious about the products they sell and that it doesn’t harm the customers in any way

Task 4 UK Legislations Trades Description Act 1968 & 1972 This law put in place in order to ensure that people who sell the goods tell the truth about the good or service or prices. So Tesco cannot make any false information about products when they try to sell the product to the customers. One example, when Tesco advertise they cannot say that the wine they sell is the best wine in the world or something, because that is against the act as it not true. Another example is that Tesco advertise in the front of their stores that if you buy dvd player you can get it for only £19.99 but actually you cannot get it for that. Then Tesco will be found guilty of breaching the law. So if Tesco were to get caught misinterpreting the act we would be heavily fined so they will have bad publicity or some...
