If not on the spot then at least out of court. However, if a consumer cannot have an out of court settlement then they may consider taking legal action. Before taking legal action, the consumer is best off getting advice from a specialist or from the Citizens Advice Bureau. There are two types of court systems in Britain: - Those concerned with criminal matters. - Those concerned with civil matters.
