CAD/CAM Definition of cad/cam My definition is that CAD is used for designing in any type of 3d method so the product looks realistic and the person making it can see what their product will look like (computer aided design) different products so that they can use CAM (computer aided machinery) it is a software to make the product come to life so that it forms the right thing.
